We are seeking a skilled Senior Contract Administrator to join our Legal Department.
Reporting to the Vice President, General Counsel & Assistant Secretary of Construction, the Senior Contract Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of our contracts and legal documents.
Essential Responsibilities:
Review, negotiate, and draft contracts, agreements, and change orders to ensure compliance with corporate risk standards.
Coordinate insurance matters, including claims and annual renewals, in collaboration with the Corporate Risk Manager.
Draft and coordinate release and waivers of liens or other legal instruments.
Assist in the preparation of corporate governance documentation and written consents.
Conduct export control and sanctions due diligence, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
Track and manage responses to customer compliance requirements through third-party software programs.
Provide administrative support to the Legal Department, including document management and processing outside counsel invoices.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, with an understanding of legal and commercial implications.
Familiarity with the power generation and/or construction industry practices and legal standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
Professional maturity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Notary license required or willingness to obtain post-employment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 9 years of experience in contract administration involving legal issues and negotiation.
Preferred experience in the construction and/or power generation industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with contract matter management systems is a plus.
