Job Summary
Under general supervision, the paralegal is responsible for performing semi-autonomously specifically delegated substantive work to assist the department with the day to day operations.
Familiarity with one or more of the following substantive areas of law is a plus: health care; data privacy; corporate governance; nonprofits; insurance.
Accountabilities
Produce high quality corporate/transactional paralegal work product – including drafting, revising, finalizing, and filing contracts and other legal documents under attorney supervision, and ensuring consistency with prior documents of a similar nature.

Assist with litigation matters to include management of Subpoenas and E-holds through collaboration with identified key stakeholders.

Assist attorneys throughout a corporate health care transaction, including due diligence, closing checklists, filings, and other transaction-related activities.
Work with outside counsel as needed.

Assist attorneys within the department with special projects and research tasks as requested.

Assist with Board and governance matters for Prisma Health and its affiliates, including assistance with preparation of Board meeting materials and minutes.

Draft corporate filings such as resolutions, formation documents, bylaws, amendments, reports, etc.

Perform legal writing services, such as cite checking and proofreading.

Serve as the department content leader for the corporate policy database, to include policy searches and reviews for department needs.

Maintain and update template forms and assist attorneys in utilizing and adapting forms upon request.

Provide administrative support, such as scheduling and drafting correspondence.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Certification program - Associate's degree preferred in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
7 years - Prior experience in healthcare or legal entity.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Basic computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
Knowledge of legal and healthcare concepts, practices and procedures.
Must be able to multi-task and handle tasks promptly and professionally.
Must possess attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
